Studios quietly use AI daily but rarely talk about it publicly. DAF's exhibition aims to change that.
DAF's "Heritage & Horizons" exhibition at the DAF Museum in Eindhoven breaks new ground. Instead of keeping AI workflows behind closed doors, Bart van Lotringen (DAF's Director of Design) is showing the actual process.
The exhibition shows AI application in 2 different ways.
One: DAF's design heritage and brand evolution - decades of development brought to life through AI-animated archival images and video generation. Not just showing old photos, but making the heritage story dynamic and engaging.
Two: the practical creative applications - reimagining classic DAF models and walking through the complete pipeline from image generation to 3D data creation to physical 3D prints.
With all the criticism around AI, this transparency matters. Every studio is already using these tools daily - showing how they're applied, and that designer creativity and decisions still drive the outcomes, is exactly the conversation we need.
Running until April 2026 if you're nearby.
