The Cayenne's Identity Dilemma

24 years of evolution, and with the latest model the typical Cayenne silhouette morphed into something different.

Something different, but better? 🤔

The 911 defined the original Cayenne. It pioneered the idea that an SUV could drive like a sports car. But sporty isn't what it used to be, not in Europe, not in China.

Lamborghini took the sporty trophy from Porsche. On the other end Range Rover's success proves commanding presence beats athleticism these days.

Look at the design choices: nose getting more prominent over generations, rear window pivoting upright (distinguishing from the Coupe?), and now that sloping roofline – each step moving away from sports car heritage toward executive presence.

Makes you wonder: is Porsche responding to what the market wants, or quietly admitting that the sports SUV was always going to become just another luxury SUV? 🎯
